A Tribute to BRENT WASHBURN:

Brent Washburn was an owner in the World League of Football for 12 years starting in 2003 until his passing last year.  Although his exploits in this and other fantasy football leagues are but a small snipet of Brent's endevors, he brought a passion, a love, and a competitive attitude to our league.  His trade mark, "Fuck it, I'll take Eddie George" was a staple at drafts.  He had a passion for the band Phish, spending time with his wife and friends, and enjoying life.   He was a fantastic husband, a good brother, and a great friend to many.  He will be missed.

Below are some clippings from newspapers and online tributes.  Pictures are from all over.  If you have a good Brent story, please share inthe comments below.  If you have a good picture that should be posted, please send it in and it can be posted here.

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Brenton (“Brent”) Washburn on October 1st. From his wife, Megan:

“He loved Phish. He saw 103 shows, with his 100th show being Sunday in Chicago this year, and his last show being at Dick’s this fall (we did all three shows). We had plans to go to Vegas for Halloween. He introduced me to the band (they were on hiatus when we met and I’d never heard of them). My first show was the Hampton reunion shows with him and we saw 75 shows together. He was an avid poster collector and most in those circles would know him as mewash2 on phishposters and other sites.”
